Campus Dining

Brasserie

This is the official resident student's eating facility. It is open all through the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner but closes for a specific period after each session. Its cuisine includes Asian, vegetarian and western menus.

 

 

 

T-House

The one stop shop for gourmet coffee, cakes, sandwiches, soup, soft drinks and ice creams. It is open from Monday through Friday 9.00am to 5.00 pm. Operating with limited indoor but ample outdoor seating overlooking the lake, it is a relaxing spot for a coffee and cake.

 

Chase

Offering lunches and to go meals such as fish and chips, sushi, pita bread, and burgers. Service is quick, just right for a snack between classes. It operates from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm Monday through Friday.

 

Juicy Bits

This is one of the coffee shops on campus serving all day breakfast. It has open air seating and is open from 8.00 am – 9.00 pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. They serve a variety of foods such as sandwiches, lasagna, frittatas, sushi, cakes, tarts, light meals and gourmet coffees.

 

Don’s Tavern

In order to get to Don’s, follow the path to the left of the arch when facing the lake. After passing Clancy’s and the University Bookshop, keep to the left and walk on. Don’s is next to Juicy bits opposite the Fitness Centre. Don’s tavern is the Beer Garden of Bond University. It is a place where students come to relax their mind and body from academic endeavors. Don’s Tavern is a popular meeting place for the students and has very few outsiders. To enter, each person needs to be able to provide:

  • 18 plus Card or Passport

  • Bond University ID card

Lakeside Grill

The Lakeside, as it is popularly called, is only available for functions. It caters for groups of up to 60 people and can be organized to provide most seminar or conference style breakfasts, lunches or dinners. Contact the Food and Beverage staff if you are interested in finding out what is possible.

 

 

Fitness Centre

The Bond University Fitness Centre (a $12 million facility) has won numerous state and national awards, including:

Gold Coast Fitness Centre of the Year – 2003

Australian Fitness Centre of the Year – 2000

2nd Best Australian Fitness Centre of the Year - 2004

 

Its facilities include a 50m Olympic size waveless swimming pool, an air-conditioned weights room and gymnasium, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, two squash course, five tennis courts, rugby and soccer fields, beach volleyball court, sauna and spa, golf and cricket practice nets.

1 hour Flight

·         South to Sydney the 2000 Olympic City. On the fabulous Sydney Harbour and home of the Sydney Opera house and Sydney Harbour bridge

 

2 hour flight

·         North to the heat and Cairns and the great barrier reef, see the Daintree rain forest, the Great Barrier Reef  - Karunda train, Green island

·         South to Canberra the Nations Capital

·         South to Melbourne, the Capital of the State of Victoria, Multi Cultural, The National Museum

 

4 Hours drive

·         South in to New South Wales - White water rafting at the Nimboida river, subject to rain to fill the river and the rapids, Good January to March

 

3 & 4 hours flight

·         North west - Darwin, Alice Springs  and the Uluru National park featuring Ayers Rock in the Red Centre of Australia,

·         West - Perth the City on the West Coast.
